Masjid Zainab

• A beautifully designed masjid with a main hall that can accommodate 2000 people.  In addition, there are three double-story verandas surrounding the main hall, with a capacity to hold 3000 people. The lower verandas will be used by students for group and individual study, and the upper verandas will be reserved for sunnah and nafl itikaf, thus leaving the main hall exclusively for prayer and worship.

• The main hall ceiling has been designed with 1 large central dome and 4 small domes. The hall has been designed in such a way that in the event of a power outage, ample light will reach the hall and air drafts will continue to circulate, ensuring ease for those present.

• A door in the mehrab leading toward the Qibla will allow janaza prayers to be performed in the main hall in severe weather conditions, while the body is conveniently placed outside in front of the Imam.

• An echo-control sound system has been designed with speakers evenly distributed throughout the masjid.

• The main hall will be carpeted and air-conditioned so that prayers and worship may be performed with the utmost concentration.

• The doors and windows in the masjid will be made using innovative fiberglass technology, and will last for over 100 years without any damage.

• There will be a large open-air marble courtyard in which early morning and night prayers will offered (weather permitting).

• Wudhu and bathroom facilities will be located on the sides of the main entrance.
